Yes, despite my lack of stuff during the day,

I did get around to the study materials.

Work, work, work.

I've got an answer to this:

Start throwing people in jail when they violate orders like this, and go from there.  Probably make a world of difference.

And once again: if the IRS and ATF and other feds can break the law and ignore orders from a judge this way, why should we obey the law?

Yes, sue their ass off.  Just maybe THAT will get the attention of the PC-brained idiots in charge.
And somebody go to the Dept. of Education and start beating people with clubs; those clowns are right in the middle of all this crap.

Yeah, this'll go over well in Germany.  Anywhere else in Europe, for that matter.
There's got to be a bunch of people who actually want to integrate into their new country wishing these idiots would shut up.  Or go away.  Or stop breathing.

I shall now attempt to catch up on some of the house stuff that's fallen behind.  Assuming I don't get lost in the mess, I Shall Return.

Yes, I made time for studies;

Yes, I'm still alive

Just still kind of making circles

Bloggage will probably be slow the next few days

Things to do, etc.

One last thing: this proves Obama & Co. the best firearms salesmen EVER!
And I agree, I think there's a real Constitutional problem with
...the FBI had been forced to temporarily halt the processing of thousands of appeals from prospective buyers whose firearm purchase attempts have been denied.

And the BATFEIEIO and Eric Holder and Obama strike again

A .50-caliber rifle found at Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman’s hideout in Mexico was funneled through the gun-smuggling investigation known as Fast and Furious, sources confirmed Tuesday to Fox News.
...
Federal officials told Fox News they are not sure how many of the weapons seized from Guzman’s house actually originated in the U.S. and where they were purchased, but are investigating.
I'll say it again: we will never know how many bodies are piled up in this crap.  And not one of the bastards responsible has been HELD responsible and paid a price.

For an awful lot of people it'll be "If the Justice Department and the government

doesn't have to obey the law, why should we?"
There's already a lot of that from crap already happened:  IRS and FBI and ATF clowns breaking federal law, and their own regulation, and paying no price.  Do they think people don't see that, and aren't pissed?*

People- especially those with some connection to security matters- know that some clerk at State, some troop in the military, who did a tenth of what Clinton has would have already been arrested, charged, tried, and in a cell.  If she walks on this, nobody's going to want to hear any lectures about the Rule of Law, because there is none.

*Throw in prosecutors who violate law and ethics, and pay no price.  Cops caught lying on the stand or screwing with evidence and getting away with it.  That crap figures in, too.

Look! Sciency stuff

over here.

Which does bring up the thought, what all else is out there that we can't see because we don't know the right way to look?

The inspiration is all worn out,

and I don't even have any outrage at the moment.

Something may happen later.

If crap like this actually surprises anyone,

they haven't paid attention to just what Hillary and Bill and their friends are.
Cheryl D. Mills, long-time friend and confidant of Bill and Hillary Clinton, is promoting a 23 cents-an-hour wage in the West African nation of Ghana to lure textile and apparel industry companies to invest there even as the former secretary of state advocates a $15-an-hour “livable wage” here.
...
Warnholz also worked at the Clinton State Department with Mills and he promoted the failed Caracol industrial park in Haiti, which emphasized low-wage textile workers and exports.  At the time, Warnholz was a senior advisor to the [George] Soros Economic Development Fund. Warnholz was a “senior advisor” to Clinton at the State Department. Other BlackIvy consultants also came from the department.

On the other part of the left hand is Sanders, who's not honest either: Clinton calls herself a 'progressive' because she's not honest enough to say 'socialist', and Sanders calls himself 'socialist' because he's not honest enough to say 'communist'.

They're both liars, and they both suck.

With what's left of the right of self-defense in Britain, at least some judges still think it has some importance.
The Crown Prosecution Service’s householder defence allows residents to use “disproportionate force” when tackling a burglar, which could include lethal force and the use of a weapon depending on the circumstances.

Only “grossly disproportionate” force and a “calculated action of revenge” is illegal.

But Mr Collins’ family, who claim he was not an intruder, argued that those rules are incompatible with Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights which guarantees the right to life.
This is also another reason Britain should tell the EU to go piss up a rope.

Something from M.L. King Jr. I'd not read before:

Third, I opposed communism's political totalitarianism. In communism, the individual ends up in subjection to the state. True, the Marxists would argue that the state is an 'interim' reality which is to be eliminated when the classless society emerges; but the state is the end while it lasts, and man is only a means to that end. And if man's so-called rights and liberties stand in the way of that end, they are simply swept aside. His liberties of expression, his freedom to vote, his freedom to listen to what news he likes or to choose his books are all restricted. Man becomes hardly more, in communism, than a depersonalized cog in the turning wheel of the state.

This deprecation of individual freedom was objectionable to me. I am convinced now, as I was then, that man is an end because he is a child of God. Man is not made for the state; the state is made for man. To deprive man of freedom is to relegate him to the status of a thing, rather than elevate him to the status of a person. Man must never be treated as means to the end of the state; but always as an end within himself."

From one of those dumbass military types our 'elites' look down on

With [Task Force] 58, I had w/ me Slim’s book, books about the Russian and British experiences in [Afghanistan], and a couple others. Going into Iraq, “The Siege” (about the Brits’ defeat at Al Kut in WW I) was req’d reading for field grade officers. I also had Slim’s book; reviewed T.E. Lawrence’s “Seven Pillars of Wisdom”; a good book about the life of Gertrude Bell (the Brit archaeologist who virtually founded the modern Iraq state in the aftermath of WW I and the fall of the Ottoman empire); and “From Beirut to Jerusalem”. I also went deeply into Liddell Hart’s book on Sherman, and Fuller’s book on Alexander the Great got a lot of my attention (although I never imagined that my HQ would end up only 500 meters from where he lay in state in Babylon).

Ultimately, a real understanding of history means that we face NOTHING new under the sun.
Would that the idiots in the White House had a real fraction of the knowledge this man does.

What happens when the lawyers and the workplace-safety weenies

try to run the military.
British soldiers have been banned from firing mortars at full range in training by health and safety bosses - because they are too loud.

The longer-range 81mm mortar, which was routinely employed by the British Army against the Taliban, is set to see reduced use in training after it was deemed a risk to the hearing of troops.
...
Soldiers have now been ordered to employ a reduced charge to cut down the level of noise, meaning they can only practise up to a range of 2,000 metres.
Better hearing protection in training, maybe?  No, easier to keep them from learning how to use it at full range.

But the border is secure!  Napolitano and Obama said so!

Yes, the left really wants to control the language.  Yes, they would like the words 'gun control' to always be rendered as 'gun safety', because the actual term gives away what they're really after.

And no, you can't call yourself both a liberal and a progressive; an actual liberal is not what these clowns like to claim.

"Do not put out a description of a suspect that includes their appearance, possible origin, or anything else useful, it might be seen as racist."
This is stupid on a level hard to describe.  And it's feeding right in to "The government would rather be PC than actually protect us from criminals.  So screw the government."

So Sanders is playing "Maybe this'll buy me a few more votes" by throwing firearms manufacturers over the side.  Which would lead to "If we can sue them, why can't we sue Ford over drunk drivers?"

And, just on a general 'what might make Russians nervous' heading,
