Why? Because SCIENCE!!

Can't stop the signal or the data, Mal!

Bad enough the majority of meteorologists polled say AGW is bullcrap;

Stupid to call them names for not falling in line.
Neil Stenhouse, lead author of a paper accepted for publication by the Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, trashed the ability of American Meteorological Society meteorologists to understand global warming after they failed to validate Stenhouse’s mythical global warming consensus. Stenhouse’s criticism of AMS meteorologists in the UK Guardian puts dues-paying AMS members in the odd position of supporting and publishing the work of a non-scientist who is bashing their credentials.
Yeah, that went over well, didn't it?
Kind of like that idiot Heidi something at The Weather Channel saying any meteorologist who didn't support 'the consensus of science' should have his credentials yanked.

The Denver Post: twisting the news to give the impression they prefer.
And don't you dare call the socialist a socialist!

Mike Rowe speaks truth:
"If we are lending money that ostensibly we don't have to kids who have no hope of making it back in order to train them for jobs that clearly don't exist, I might suggest that we've gone around the bend a little bit," says TV personality Mike Rowe, best known as the longtime host of Discovery Channel's Dirty Jobs.

Ahem. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You wanted it, you got it, idiots; now shut up and pay up!
But those professional association plans were nixed by ObamaCare. Were the deductibles too high and the coverage too spotty? Au contraire, these people needed to share:
...many of the New York policies being canceled meet and often exceed the [ACA] standards, brokers say. The rationale for disqualifying those policies, said Larry Levitt, a health policy expert at the Kaiser Family Foundation, was to prevent associations from selling insurance to healthy members who are needed to keep the new health exchanges financially viable.
T'is almost downright tasty, is it not?

Speaking of,
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) announced Friday that an ObamaCare contractor would comply with a subpoena he issued, despite efforts by the Obama administration and some Democrats to keep the documents out of his hands.

After consulting with its legal counsel, MITRE Corp., a contractor working to assess security issues with the ObamaCare website, determined that it “has no alternative but to comply with the terms of a Congressional subpoena absent some form of judicial intervention.”
Translation: (lawyer)"Are you out of your minds?  I don't care what Sebelius or anyone else says, this is a SUBPOENA!  You tell them you don't have to, and there WILL be charges!  So stop kissing ass and say "Yes, sir" and go to the meeting."

About that dirtbag at the school in CO:
Thomas Conrad, who had an economics class with [the shooter] Pierson, described him as a very opinionated Socialist*.
...Pierson also appears to mock Republicans on another Facebook post, writing "you republicans are so cute" and posting an image that reads: "The Republican Party: Health Care: Let 'em Die, Climate Change: Let 'em Die, Gun Violence: Let 'em Die, Women's Rights: Let 'em Die, More War: Let 'em Die. Is this really the side you want to be on?" (emphasis added)
And, demonstrating the Devotion To Truth Of Our Media,
* Wordy Girl notes that the Denver Post has now stealth-edited out the S-word.
So they don't have a tea-partying-gun-rights-supporting school shooter, but Marx forbid they leave in that inconvenient bit of information.

Ok, a question geniuses: if your friggin' wind farm can weaken hurricanes,

what the hell is it going to do to the normal weather patterns?  Or doesn't that matter?

For that matter, what about the huge disruption caused by such large constructions?  Or is that a "Here's where the magic happens!" thing we're not supposed to worry about?  The cost, too?
Stanford civil and environmental engineering professor Mark Z. Jacobson and his research team found that if it was feasible to build tens of thousands of wind power turbines off the shores of some of America’s cities most vulnerable to extreme weather, those cities would see lower wind speeds and less severe storm surges from approaching hurricanes.
I'll let you read the rest if you wish; that excerpt should give you an idea of what you'll find.

Oh, one more thing:
The researchers imagined what would have happened if a massive wall of tens of thousands of wind turbines had been built before hurricanes Katrina and Sandy and ran computer simulations of both storms with and without offshore turbines constructed in their paths.
I wonder if those are the same type simulations that said the poles would be melted by now?

How many have you fired?

McThag pointed to this.  Here's my list, ones I've fired in blue:

U.S. M1895 Colt-Browning machine gun
FN Browning M1899/M1900

U.S. M1911 pistol (.45 ACP)
Colt Woodsman pistol
Winchester Model 1885 falling-block single shot rifle
Winchester Model 1886 lever-action repeating rifle

The Browning Superposed over/under shotgun was designed by John Browning in 1922 and entered production in 1931
Ithaca Model 37 pump-action repeating shotgun
Damn, I've got some ground to cover.

Because Democrats and socialists have no sense of humor,

and are in a perpetual state of outrage, and seem to need something else to whine about, my personal response to their call for boycott follows a little below:

Let's take it from the black-robed idiot down, shall we?

In my considered opinion:
Judge Jean Boyd is either a farging idiot or a corrupt jerk in a black robe. Which should, in either case, be removed, along with her license to practice law.

Psychiatrist Dick Miller is the kind of slimy excuse-for-anything piece of crap that makes '100 shrinks in a bus' jokes sound like a good idea.

And Ethan Couch is a dirtbag of the first water, who's learned he can get out of  real responsibility for and paying any real price for anything. Including theft and killing four people.

You want to know why people don't trust the courts and the 'experts'?  Perfect example.  Slimeball Psych Dick is more worried about 'the best treatment for this child' than about his having killed four people.  The judge was stupid(or corrupt, you have to wonder) enough to listen to this.  And Couch gets probation after theft, drunk/stoned driving and- at the least- manslaughter.

Listening to this Dick insist that a four-star 'treatment facility' counts as punishment... you want to make sure he has a ticket on that bus.

Which brings me to Why You're Not Officer Friendly(Reason #216):  because you're an abusive and lying bastard.
And the other officers who didn't try to stop it are just as bad.

Things to remember:

A motorcycle on a 39F day isn't warm, but with good gear it's not bad.

I still wouldn't want to make a long-distance trip(the wind finds any possible place to sneak in, like cold water with a wetsuit).

I've ridden in worse weather with worse gear; this wasn't bad at all.

Keeping track of the occasional remaining lumps of ice/slush does keep you alert.

I miss 50's being the lows.

Another tab clearing

Crooks may be smart or dumb, but are used to doing this to people.

Yes, multiple levels of fail in the NSA/FBI/CIA crap; but, as noted, it's a lot of other fed/state/local agencies as well.  I think the Dutchman referred to this as 'losing the mandate of heaven'.  And just what do they think will happen when nobody will trust or work with them anymore?

Shooting stuff in the wrong gun

"You pig, why are you even LOOKING at that woman, you heteronormative bastard!"
And connected idiocies.

People having entirely too much fun in all that white stuff

Dan Rather is still both a nutcase and a dirtbag.

Lube does matter.  And what works in some weather might not work in something different.

In Ireland: "You can't have that gun license because I don't like the gun."  Court: "Yes they can."
Perfect illustration of why 'may issue'-type crap is exactly that.

'Islamophobia problem' my ass.

Apparently the anti-gun-ownership people can't be bothered finding out what the law actually is; otherwise they wouldn't be wasting money on this.

Of course, they might know, and consider it worth it to say to the base "See how hard we're working on this!"  And they'd get away with it, because most of their base IS ignorant of the facts, and the ones who aren't would consider it worth it for the sake of keeping the ignorant stirred up.

Because Congress is a third party who doesn't need to know

what federal agencies are doing.
In other nondisclosure news, the House Oversight Committee turned up letters Wednesday showing that HHS ordered the private contractors partly responsible for the Healthcare.gov fiasco not to cooperate with congressional investigations or hand over documents. For no pertinent reason, HHS reminds them that they signed contracts obligating them not to share information with "third parties."
Whoever signed those orders should be subpoenaed, and told 'Answer or jail, your choice.'

In some cases, probably.
Anyone else suspect that a lot of this is driven by the resentment unattractive women feel toward attractive women? Amanda Marcotte, any comment?
And isn’t it positively deranged that the same people who champion “slut walks“* excoriate men for paying attention to women’s bodies? It’s like the left is saying, “We champion the right of women to dress like sluts, but any man who looks at them is a thought-rapist who must be punished!”

* This link leads to pictures of scantily clad San Francisco feminists. You have been warned.
Also,

Yes, get rid of the damned subsidy; either they work or they don't, stop paying them off either way.

And the people who scream the loudest about keeping it(aside from the lobbyists and paymasters) will be the same people who scream about crony capitalism and such.  When it involves companies/people they don't like.

Start disbarring the bastards who commit the crimes, and the judges who let them get away with it.  And take away their immunity so they're PERSONALLY liable for damages; they start seeing money from their own pocket threatened, a bunch of these dirtbags will straighten up.

Speaking of dirtbag judges, we have State District Judge Jean Boyd in Texas.  'Disgusting' doesn't begin to cover it.

"How dare you post our kids' picture?  All he did was breaking & entering and vandalism and drugs!"
Said parents whining about this should be given ten lashes in the town square.  With pictures posted on all local news sites and shown on the evening news.

Sometimes stupid really hurts.

"Yes, he's a racist, but he's black; so we have to be careful how we deal with him.  White guy?  Oh, a white guy saying this about blacks, he'd have been gone the next day!"
The controversial Department of Homeland Security employee who ran a black supremacist website and claimed blacks would have to “kill a lot of whites” to “survive the 21st century” is no longer employed by the agency. DHS did not reveal whether he was fired or allowed to resign.

"How dare you question rape culture!  What'll we do if we can't blame men for everything?"

And already happening here, I have no doubt;

it'll take something disgusting and horrible to get the media to report on it, though.
The girl’s Muslim parents forced her into the marriage when she was fourteen. Her mother tried to put a good face on a bad situation, enticing the girl with a picture of marriage as a never-ending party: her husband, she said, would treat the girl to ice cream and lollipops and take her to movies and amusement parks. Reality turned out to be a bit different: her husband imprisoned her inside their home and forced her to watch violent videos featuring jihad attacks against soldiers from Western countries. He also raped her and beat her frequently.

The girl went to her father for help. But her father, as she recounted later, was completely unsympathetic, telling her: “So what if he raped you? So what if he bashed you? The only way you can come back to me is in a coffin.”

This didn’t happen in Pakistan, or Egypt, or Indonesia. This girl suffered in comfortable suburban Australia, where Western society failed her as thoroughly as did Islamic society: she went to a teacher and explained what was happening, but despite laws requiring teachers to report such incidents, nothing was done.

So the school required this 'survey', when caught lied about it, then tried to make it go away; if ever there was proof of guilt...

These days most of the people on the net going “it was worse under Booosh” are either obviously mentally ill or paid to say so. (And there aren’t as many of them as there used to be.)

Worse, while all the initial successful totalitarians of the twentieth century came from what could be termed the “middle class” these precious flowers ain’t.  In fact, they are so far off the middle class, they think it’s a rethoric flourish “And the middle class.”

They are in fact from the uptiest (totally a word) of the upper crust (yes, do tell me about Obama’s impoverished ghetto childhood living with a bank manager.  Pfui.) and so out of touch with the middle class it might be a foreign land.

They've figured out much of the history of the Chelyabinsk meteorite.

Private enterprise getting into space.  For a lot less money(imagine that!).

So Paul Ryan either let this slip through, or he's a backstabbing little deal-at-any-price bastard.  I'm betting on the latter.

Once again the Stupid Party wants to basically surrender.  Bastards.

The NYPD: when they're not shooting bystanders and such, they're screwing cops who tell the truth.

Tab clearing

Why no Officer Friendly?  Because you're assholes and people are covering for you.

And having keys to the vehicle is the gateway to drunk driving.  Or something.

A collection of idiocy and stupidity.

Then, pleading in mitigation that she’s there to talk about the Middle East, she reveals that she has no idea where Benghazi is.

Finally, when her constituents helpfully point out that Benghazi is in Libya, she turns to the side and gives that pitiful look that is the single thing I most loathe about American politics – the look a floundering empty suit gives to her minder when she needs him to come and rescue her. Which the minder immediately does.

A bunch of democrats can't stand the preemptive surrender, either.

A bunch of firefighters dead, because clusterfuck.

You expect anything else?  They WANT the IRS abusing power and breaking the law.

Yeah, I'm sure those nasty Jew gangs are looking for people to beat up...

The superintendent at School District RE-1 in Colorado is a fucking idiot.  And should be fired.  "I am following Holy Procedure!" should not be a defense in a case like this, it should be evidence of guilt.

Hey, it'll still be Bushs' fault; besides, they're military

and Obama doesn't give a rats ass about them except when he can use them to advance his wishes.  Or try to.
Using the AP’s Afghanistan casualties database, Breitbart News calculated that between January 20, 2009, and the end of last month 1,595 U.S. soldiers lost their lives in the Afghanistan conflict. The total number of military deaths so far is 2,153.

That means that about 74 percent of all U.S. military deaths in Afghanistan have taken place under Obama’s watch. During the eight years of the previous administration there were only 558 fatalities, or about 26 percent of the deaths that have taken place from October 7, 2001, the start of the war, to November 30, 2013.
And we're all racists for taking notice.

You'll also notice an absence of daily death counts, like the media did when Bush was President.

Not only were the screws in the bag,

the bag was in the box I remembered and THE BOX WAS WHERE IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!

That's such a wonderful thing, I may have a drink.

Tab clearing

Yeah, a bit of a problem there.

Can a whole organization be schizophrenic?  Apparently yes.

Seriously pissed at the leeches.

There's a sock monkey between the ears of these TSA clowns

Fake hate-crimes: Vassar college has a thing called the Biased Incident Response Team. Side note: if you send your kid to a school with something called a Biased Incident Response Team, you obviously aren’t interested in making sure he gets a real education.

On the "Oh, my DEITY!!" terrors about Fukushima.

Why you're not Officer Friendly anymore(Reason 78): the Los Angeles County SO.

The last test of the Lee measure

because I don't currently have OCD, and I don't want to,

so enjoy this test, 'cause I'm not doing this again on this measure.

Procedure:
Filled the hopper about 3/4 full of IMR4895.
As I threw charges I'd dump them back in the bottle, then periodically add back to the hopper as you'd top off the hopper occasionally while loading.
Threw sets of ten, re-calibrating the scale about every fourth set(with exception noted below).

This time I threw 100 charges, and they broke down like this:

          32.7        32.9        33.0        33.2

            4            13           63           20

Some interesting things:
I got NO 32.8, or 33.1; in the variations from the set amount I ALWAYS got the same variations.
Of the 100 throws, there were three times I felt it bind on a grain.  Twice it was a hesitation, once it required more pressure, but all three of those were dead-on 33.0.  That's a lot smoother than the other measures I've tried.
At this point I'd have no problem using this with any of the stick powders I've ever used, and want to find a die to mount it on my Dillon 450.
Reason for no problem: I used my Midway electronic scale for this because it does give a digital readout, as opposed to screwing with the balance-beam scale to determine exact variations.  Yes, I know, 'looking under the light so I can see' and all; unless I can borrow a really accurate and reliable digital scale, this is what you're getting.
Add up the 'same variations' to the general outcome, I'm thinking that at least some of the variation in weights may be the scale acting up; it's done odd things at odd times before, which is why I generally use it for spot-checks and calibrate often(especially when something doesn't seem right).  At one point in a set it suddenly showed a charge just over two full grains off; recalibrated and reweighed that charge, got 33.0.  I did a string before using the balance-beam scale, and any visible variation were so close it would fit within the '+/- 0.1 grain' you expect from any measure/scale.  So, overall, I'd use it.

Even if you want to weigh every charge for match or hunting loads, this would speed it up immensely: throw the charge and weigh and only add/subtract some granules if needed.  Which is faster than 'dump, then trickle to get to weight, then put in case'.

Further stuff:
The other day I tried it with some Hodgdon Clays powder, and it did bind with it.  So does the Dillon measure, so does the Hornady if I don't fiddle with it just right beforehand.

Tried it with 2400; felt like it was binding a bit, not as bad as with Clays.

One more reason they didn't want us to know what was in Obamacare

until too late:
Volunteer fire departments all across the U.S. could find themselves out of money and unable to operate unless Congress or the Obama Administration exempts them from the Affordable Care Act.
...
The U.S. Department of Labor takes the term 'volunteer' literally, but the IRS says volunteer firefighters are technically employees if they're on the job more than 30 hours per week, making them subject to Obamacare's employee-mandate rules.
...
That could cost departments of life-savers hundreds of thousands of dollars each year. Those that dump their volunteers into the federal insurance exchanges would still have to pay an annual $2,000 fine for each 'employee' after the first 30.

'I can tell you right now we can’t afford it,' East Derry, Pennsylvania Fire Company Chief Edward Mann told the Patriot-News. 'While a volunteer fire department may not have a payroll, the rest of it isn’t free. The only part that is free is the labor.'

Mr. Williamson has a response to Clown Bateman, or (Mastur)Bateman as he was once referred to.  It includes
In response to comments and outrage, he called a documented SF soldier a "faker," a former AF Security Policeman who's now a federal agent a "peacetime veteran," and a gay, black 2nd Amendment supporter a "fake persona," because no gay black man could POSSIBLY support gun ownership.  (That person's an acquaintance of mine.  Gay, black, gun owning, conservative, union train engineer.  How awesome is THAT combination?)
In short, he's the textbook example of the small-dicked little limpwrist who joined the military to prove he's not, and hates guns because he does have something to compensate for.  Likely why he's been cuckolded twice and divorced.  He doesn't measure up, literally and emotionally.  Google "psychological projection."

So it only cost us(that they're admitting to) $10.5 BILLION to 'save' Government Motors and buy all those union votes for Obama.  Some deal.

These clowns are in the same category of violent, bigoted muslims who do nasty things and then people say "But they aren't REAL muslims!"  Well, to people of working brains and ethics these bitches are NOT what they mean by 'feminists'; but they say they are, and most of the 'feminist' industry says they are.

He links to a thread at Jezebel about physical abuse of men by women, which I found linked somewhere else a while back.  Seems to break down- especially in the comments- to a few people saying "Knock this shit off: abuse is abuse no matter who's doing it, and it's not funny" and everyone else either laughing at it or saying some variation of "Well, yeah, it's bad, but it's women hitting men so there are excuses."

Because a burned embassy building and a dead ambassador and three others and a bunch of wounded in Libya have nothing to do with the Mid-East.  Yeah.
Especially when it's a Democrat being asked about it.

Althouse has a piece on a farging idiot named Paul Theroux who wrote this:
Even the expression ''Be a man!'' strikes me as insulting and abusive. It means: Be stupid, be unfeeling, obedient and soldierly, and stop thinking. Man means ''manly'' - how can one think ''about men'' without considering the terrible ambition of manliness?...
The levels of fail in this crap are amazing.

I flat love it whern something works

Few years back I replaced the grip screws on my carry piece with some nice hex-drive ones(I don't know, because tactical or something).  A few days back I'd removed the grips to clean under them and when replacing the screws the head neatly broke off the right bottom one.

Yes, I said words.

Far enough down couldn't get hold of it, so today got a 1/16" bit(new and sharp) and very carefully started center-drilling the screw, figuring either the bit would turn the screw or I'd have a hole to use a broken-screw extractor.   Sure enough, when the bit got deep enough in the screw started turning, and was able to run it all the way through and out.  Yay!

Now all I have to do is hope the original screws are still where I put them.

(I try to put any such parts in a baggie, labeled, and stick it in a particular place.  I'm just hoping I didn't drop the damn things at some point while looking there for something else)

So, when do we see marchers chanting "Obama lied!"

I know, I mean about this in particular:
Barack Obama did not tell the whole story this autumn when he tried to make the case that Bashar al-Assad was responsible for the chemical weapons attack near Damascus on 21 August. In some instances, he omitted important intelligence, and in others he presented assumptions as facts. Most significant, he failed to acknowledge something known to the US intelligence community: that the Syrian army is not the only party in the country’s civil war with access to sarin, the nerve agent that a UN study concluded – without assessing responsibility – had been used in the rocket attack.
...
But in recent interviews with intelligence and military officers and consultants past and present, I found intense concern, and on occasion anger, over what was repeatedly seen as the deliberate manipulation of intelligence. One high-level intelligence officer, in an email to a colleague, called the administration’s assurances of Assad’s responsibility a ‘ruse’. The attack ‘was not the result of the current regime’, he wrote. A former senior intelligence official told me that the Obama administration had altered the available information – in terms of its timing and sequence – to enable the president and his advisers to make intelligence retrieved days after the attack look as if it had been picked up and analysed in real time, as the attack was happening. The distortion, he said, reminded him of the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident, when the Johnson administration reversed the sequence of National Security Agency intercepts to justify one of the early bombings of North Vietnam. The same official said there was immense frustration inside the military and intelligence bureaucracy: ‘The guys are throwing their hands in the air and saying, “How can we help this guy” – Obama – “when he and his cronies in the White House make up the intelligence as they go along?”

How's that 'guns banned and cameras on every corner' thing working?

Not too damned well.
The Tories have found that in Harlem last year there were just 5.9 robberies per 1,000 residents.

Across London the figure was 7.4 attacks.

In some inner-city boroughs the level of street crime was even higher.

Lambeth, which includes Brixton, saw 24 muggings per 1,000 people - four times the Harlem rate.

Westminster - which includes Downing Street and Buckingham Palace - had 12 robberies per 1,000 residents.

The borough of Islington, where Tony Blair lived before becoming Prime Minister, saw 9.3 attacks per 1,000.

Shadow Home Secretary Oliver Letwin said last night: 'You are now more likely to be robbed in London than you are in New York's Harlem.

'These latest figures validate the fears and concerns of London residents.'

Also found this from Mr. Goddard:
According to the FBI, there were 1.2 million violent crimes committed in the US during 2011.  FBI — Violent Crime
According to the UK government, there were 1.94 million violent crimes in the UK during 2011.  www.ons.gov.uk/ons/dcp171778_296191.pdf
There are almost exactly five times as many people in the US as in the UK – 314 million vs. 63 million. The violent crime rate in the UK is 3,100 per 100,000, and in the US it is 380 per 100,000 population.
Brits are eight times more likely to be victims of violent crime than Americans. For some reason, Piers Morgan doesn’t talk about this.
Damn right he doesn't; it doesn't advance his preferences.

From the same federal professionals who gave us Fast & Furious, stomped kittens

and screwed whistleblowers:
...Based on court records, police reports and dozens of interviews, the paper details how the ATF used "rogue" tactics — including providing underage youths with alcohol and allowing them to smoke pot — to run storefront gun and drug stings across the country.

In our estimation the most explosive allegation made in the report is that the agents with the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives used mentally disabled people to run their stings.
And no, they don't mean the agents; they're morally and ethically retarded, but not disabled.
And yeah, NPR is reporting this; bet it caused huge wailing and gnashing for them to report on one of their favorite agencies being dirtbags.

From the report itself:
Among the findings:
■ ATF agents befriended mentally disabled people to drum up business and later arrested them in at least four cities in addition to Milwaukee. In Wichita, Kan., ATF agents referred to a man with a low IQ as "slow-headed" before deciding to secretly use him as a key cog in their sting. And agents in Albuquerque, N.M., gave a brain-damaged drug addict with little knowledge of weapons a "tutorial" on machine guns, hoping he could find them one.
■ Agents in several cities opened undercover gun- and drug-buying operations in safe zones near churches and schools, allowed juveniles to come in and play video games and teens to smoke marijuana, and provided alcohol to underage youths. In Portland, attorneys for three teens who were charged said a female agent dressed provocatively, flirted with the boys and encouraged them to bring drugs and weapons to the store to sell. (a professional .gov prostitute; wonder if she got a bonus?)

■ As they did in Milwaukee, agents in other cities offered sky-high prices for guns, leading suspects to buy firearms at stores and turn around and sell them to undercover agents for a quick profit. In other stings, agents ran fake pawnshops and readily bought stolen items, such as electronics and bikes — no questions asked — spurring burglaries and theft. In Atlanta, agents bought guns that had been stolen just hours earlier, several ripped off from police cars.
Agents damaged buildings they rented for their operations, tearing out walls and rewiring electricity — then stuck landlords with the repair bills. A property owner in Portland said agents removed a parking lot spotlight, damaging her new $30,000 roof and causing leaks, before they shut down the operation and disappeared without a way for her to contact them.
Because being an ATF agent means never taking responsibility for screwing people over.

From their trying to report on the miserable excuse for LE that started this:
The ATF has refused to release its internal investigation into the failures of its flawed Fearless Distributing sting in Milwaukee. The report has been sought by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and members of Congress since its completion earlier this year.  Because being BATFE means telling Congress to go away and paying no price for it.

The internal review was launched after a Journal Sentinel investigation revealed numerous foul-ups in the operation. For nine months, the ATF also has refused to provide any documents to the Journal Sentinel, which has filed a dozen requests under the federal Freedom of Information Act, including the cost of the operations and rules on agents keeping guns in their vehicles.

In late November, Department of Justice attorney Anne D. Work affirmed the ATF's position that its entire internal report on the closed Milwaukee operation should be kept secret and not released to the public. Work wrote that releasing the investigation "could reasonably be expected to interfere with (law) enforcement proceedings."
"You expect us to let the peasants know what we did?  That's not allowable!"

And Bloody-Hands Cummings will sit there and defend every bit of this.  And insist it's just nasty Republicans causing problems for the noble agency.  Because nothing counts but supporting Holder and Obama, and helping an agency that forgot that oath decades ago.

United Airlines, you suck

On a monumental level.
“I was surprised.  I didn't know which way to go.  Here I am at LAX with all these people and it's all new to me. I was just lost I didn't know what to do which is an awful feeling," Shatz told the paper.

Shatz was traveling alone and suffers from macular degeneration, an eye condition that limits his sight. "They just left me kind of stranded. Here I'm 90 years old, and I don't know -- I really didn't have anybody else I could call."
I'm going to leave this now, because my language is about to degenerate.  Badly.

"4th Amendment? You can't let that get in the way

of police work!"
NYEffing City, as Kim used to put it, you wanted this?  You've got it.

As I recall, the proper way of things is an officer can search if he's got probable cause; not "If I think you ought to be searched, I'll search you."

This is why I now have a label of  'Oathbreaking Cops'

...this is how we kill our animals in Islam.

From one of the faithful islamists in friendly multi-culti Britain who murdered Fusilier Lee Rigby.
Michael Adebolajo, one of the men accused of gruesomely hacking to death British Fusilier Lee Rigby in May, said in a police interview that he and co-accused Michael Adebowale didn’t seek out Rigby because of a personal vendetta, but because he was “the soldier that was spotted first.”

He also said the brutal method of execution they chose was based on how “animals” are killed in Islam, according to the BBC.

The 45-minute interview was from June, but was played in court Thursday during the murder trial in which both men have pleaded not guilty.
Not murder to kill an unbeliever, y'know.  Especially a soldier.

"I was outraged about the IRS.  Until it became an actual problem, now it's a 'phony scandal'."
Also, I wonder how the socialists feel knowing that, if they object to the IRS breaking the law and abusing power, it means they're 'so-called progressives'?
Also: this guy thinks Obama was slapping Tingles Matthews for having dared to be upset over the matter.  A while back.  Before it started causing real problems.

That had to leave a mark:
It's possible that this is nothing more than hypocrisy. But the real reason, I think, is that the NFL is trying to protect its investments. The oversized guy who crashes his $150,000 custom SUV into a house and breaks down the door with his fists to strangle the family inside may be someone's number one draft pick, and all those millions his team spent on him would go right down the drain if some terrified homeowner shot him in self-defense.

And we can't have that now, can we? It's…un-American.

More Democrats in trouble pretending they give a rats ass about the 2nd Amendment.  While taking money from anti-gun-ownership groups.
Giffords' Rights and Responsibilities PAC is funded by money left over in the Arizona Democrat's campaign account. The new PAC will start by contributing to the campaigns of Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., Sen. Sue Collins, R-Maine, and Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., said Pia Carusone, a senior Giffords adviser.

All supported a measure fashioned by Toomey and Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., that would have required background checks on all commercial sales of guns. That provision and other major gun-control measures failed to pass Congress this year, despite widespread calls to overhaul the nation's gun laws after 26 children and adults were gunned down last December at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.
So how pro-gun are you really if you get money from Gabby's gun control PAC? I think the answer is obvious - not much. Just like Hagan lied about you getting to keep your old health insurance, her support of the Second Amendment is also suspect. The only question in my mind is when soon-to-be former Mayor Bloomberg digs into his own deep pockets and contributes to Kay Hagan.

Anywhere except Eric Holders' 'Justice Department' this would be extortion and kickbacks.

Stolen from Joe at Tams' place:
The Manhattan Project: Turning a few, vague theoretical physics concepts into two working weapons from scratch, using slide rules and crude mechanical calculators to crunch a heck of a lot of complex math, all while figureing out how to build a lot of freaking complex stuff.

Meanwhile, the Obama admin can't figure out how to make a website that can do something Amazon had been doing for about a decade before
.

You have to wonder: did the idiots who thought this was a good idea not know about the Cthulu mythos, or do they like being associated with it?
Yeah. We don't have an Orbital Hilton or a tourist lodge on the moon and Pan-Am can't run you up there on a shuttle -- in fact, they're struggling to make the trains run on time while NASA astronauts have to bum a lift from the Russians.* But our .gov can bigawd tune in every cel-phone call, walkie-talkie and baby monitor everywhere, and read everyone's e-mail and web-browsing history to boot. China plans to put a missile base on the Moon and this country's space program is all about listening at keyholes and peering in windows.

Over on Bookface Breda had this link on how to work the hunch out of your back.  I promise to try it soon as the shoulder won't do something horrible.

Once more proving that 'zero tolerance' actually means 'Zero use of brain by school officials' is Principal John Horton and the idiot teacher in the class.
The teacher took both Johnny and the other boy into the hall and lectured them about disruption. The teacher then contacted Johnny’s mother, Beverly Jones, alerting her to the “seriousness” of the violation because the children were using “firearms” in their horseplay, and informing her that the matter had been referred to the Principal. Principal John Horton contacted Ms. Jones soon thereafter in order to inform her that Johnny’s behavior was a serious offense that could result in expulsion under the school’s weapons policy. Horton characterized Johnny’s transgression as “making a threat” to another student using a “replica or representation of a firearm” through the use of an imaginary bow and arrow.
How about the offense of sending a paycheck to idiots like Horton and Jones?

Some of our distant ancestors managed to paint this stuff in a cave.  Sometimes under the influence of radon and  CO2 poisoning.  Damn.

So the EffingBI CAN use your computer camera to spy on you.
Wonder if they bother getting a warrant?

Why aren't you Officer Friendly anymore?(Reason 372)
Because you're a friggin' idiot.  And a liar.
One night, Lee went outside to check on some people making noise on his property.
“They (the police) just pulled in and said, ‘What is going on? What is going on? Hands up, Anybody have any weapon?’ I said I have a gun. They just grabbed me, took my gun and threw me in the car,” Lee said.
Lee said he told the officer he had the permit on him. He was cited for loitering and his truck was towed from his private property.
...
A judge dismissed the case at his initial appearance and apologized. For more than a year, Lee has been trying to get his gun back, get an apology from police and get reimbursed for the cost of getting his car towed.
“They gave me the run around. I went to every precinct over here. Not here, try this one, Not here, try this one,” Lee said.
Found over here.

Gee, why might we have a problem believing that?
[T]hey won’t even say whether they ask a judge for a search warrant before they turn the equipment on,” the newspaper reported Sunday.

Instead, officials reportedly insist they can’t disclose such information because doing so may endanger public safety
.
That's become one of the go-to excuses for "We don't want to tell you" that it's for 'public safety'.

'Bout time that bastards' statue came down.

Translation: "Rangel didn't get his ass kissed, so he's all butthurt about it."

Damn, that's a long list of stuff.  I think I'll go read a book or load some ammo or something.
